Applications invited for Chevening Scholarships, 2010 (28/08/2009)
The British Embassy invites applications for its Chevening Scholarships for 2010.
These awards offer the chance of study in the United Kingdom for Syrians who have the potential to develop into future leaders, decision makers and opinion formers.
Applicants must:
- Be Syrian or Syrian/Palestinian; they are expected to return to Syria on completion of their studies.
- Be university graduates with several years’ work experience.
- Have excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
The Embassy will give priority to candidates whose proposed fields of study are relevant to Syria’s economic, social or technological development.
Relevant fields might include:
- Economics
- Business
- Law
- Political science
- Banking
- Public administration
- Energy
- ICT
- Health management
- Education management
- Community development.
